Cook

A month ago my friend Serena and I were discussing how we both wanted to cook more. We have always had a love for food and often shared it together. We got to discussing how we should cook together; that way if we failed miserably at cooking a meal at least we did it together. For a month now we have been meeting every Monday night at my apartment cooking our newest creation. Last Monday might have been our best meal. We decided to cook salmon with a hoisin glaze.

Ingredients needed:

hoisin sauce
2 teaspoons low-sodium soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon dark sesame oil
4 (6-ounce) skinless wild salmon fillets
Cooking spray
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Lemon rind strips (optional)
1 Salmon Fillet

instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°.
  2. Combine first 3 ingredients in a shallow dish. Add fish to dish, turning to coat. Marinate at room temperature 8 minutes, turning occasionally.
  3. Remove fish from marinade; discard marinade.
  4. Place fish on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray.
  5. Sprinkle fish evenly with sesame seeds.
  6. Bake at 400° for 8 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. Garnish with rind, if desired.
