I ♥ NY. As much as I am a product of many places, I am a New York girl through and through. I did most of my holidays growing up in this glorious city and the surronding area. NYC is a part of who I am. I was an uptown kid and a downtown grownup and this duality helps define me. I still get an indescribable buzz when I am in New York. I suppose it’s the feeling that so many worlds co-exist, that you can lose yourself in any one of them at almost any hour of the day. It is absolutely gorgeous and a bit magical too. There is so much going on. People reading, playing, jogging, relaxing, eating and even getting married! I am currently planning my trek back to my families roots.
The Peninsula has a lot to offer. I spent most of my Thanksgiving breaks at this hotel. The night before Thanksgiving I would go to Spa with my mother and my Aunts getting ready for the Broadway show I was going to see that night. Going to the hotel was a treat itself. As I got older it became the one thing I look forward to the every year. I got to live out my girlhood dreams of pretending to be a princess in this very luxurious hotel. How could you not feel like Royalty when surronded by old-world grandeur? The hotel offered Asian grace and hospitality with their oriental rugs, white marble floors and Bellboys wearing impeccable white gloves.
